If you would like to attend the informal Quantum Gravity seminar, join the group mailing list for announcements. If you don’t have a UoN login, please contact me to join.
If you have (or will soon have) a PhD and are interested in applying for a fellowship to work with us in Nottingham, please see the list of fellowship schemes. Before starting to apply for one of these, or any other scheme you might know about, you should discuss your possible application with me or another senior person here in the School of Mathematical Sciences. Please understand that we can only support applications that have a good chance of success.
For jobs offered by the School of Mathematical Sciences directly, please see the main blog.
The gravity group has several PhD places available each year; see information about PhD projects and grants. For the best chances, you should apply by the end of January for the usual end of September start. Applications at other times of year are possible, but scholarship schemes may have closed and PhD places may be filled. It does vary from year to year.
One of our PhD entrance criteria is studies in relevant subjects at masters’ level. Our MSc Gravity, Particles and Fields is an excellent training for a PhD.
